Hong Kong is a short 2h 15min flight from Metro Manila, Philippines and widely serviced by multiple airlines such as Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Philippines Air Asia, Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong Airlines (direct and non-stop). In the city, there are various options for transportation such as taxis, train and buses.
The main currency used is the Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) though larger establishments also accept US Dollars. It is still best to have your foreign currency exchanged in local money. Most establishments also use credit cards but for smaller ones, and even taxis - only cash cash is accepted.

Hong Kong is predominantly a Chinese speaking country though many also speak English due to the influx of foreign business establishments. You may choose to download a translator especially if travelling to outskirts of the city.
